Things to do

There is a little bit of everything for all ages at Lake Gregory! Located in Crestline, about a 20 minute drive from Arrowhead.

  • Water playground with inflatable obstacle courses-There is a height requirement of at least 38 inches tall. They have a "little island" for the smaller kiddos without worry about being pushed around by the big kids.

  • Water slide- There are two slides that are very long, but go at a slower pace, so my 7 year old loved it.

  • Cabana and shaded grill rentals-We visited on a weekend in the summer and it was very busy, so having the ease of knowing we have a spot already reserved in the shade was really nice. If you can afford it, the cabana rental is definitely worth the splurge especially if you have little kids. It comes with a small table and 4 lounge chairs. You can bring your own chairs if you have more than 4 people.

  • Boat rentals- There are several things to rent for more fun on the water. Some are first come first served, and others you can reserve ahead of time. Check the website for details.

    • Duffy Boat

    • Kayaks

    • Paddle Boat

    • Row Boat

    • Canoe

    • Swan Paddle Boat

    • Stand up Paddle Board

  • Fishing- located on the South shore. Fishing is $10 per day, fishing license is also required. There are a few trees for shade and benches. Our kids had fun just casting a line without a hook on it to practice. They use their own kids fishing pole.

  • Kids Splash pad- A very cute little splash pad for the little ones, located by the slides. Free to use.

  • Dog Park- Free to use. I did not go here so I can't say how it looks, but if you are visiting the crestline area with your dog, this is a great place to know about.

  • Nature Trail Loop- This is an easy 2.4 mile loop that takes about 45 minutes to complete and is open year round.

What to Know Before Going

Read the following tips to be prepared and have the best time possible.

  1. The water slide and inflatables are included in the all access pass, which is $30 per person per day. If you don't want to do those but still want to visit the lake, you can purchase a day pass for only $15.

  2. I highly recommend water shoes! It was so much easier to climb around the inflatables, and when walking around the lake, the ground has rocks. The water shoes were so much easier than sandals. You can find a good women's brand here and child's brand here

  3. Life Jackets are available there. You can bring your own if you wish, but they have to be coast guard approved (you can look at the back of the life jacket to check) or find some of my favorites for kids here and for adults here.

  4. Outside food and drinks are allowed, but no alcohol. They will check your bags upon entry. We brought a cooler and packed our own lunch to save money. A large cooler with wheels makes it so much easier to transport everything.

  5. There is a grill there with foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and ice cream.

  6. Right across the street is a great grocery store called Goodwin & Sons Market. They even have an ice cream, dessert, and acai bowl shop inside.

  7. If you are visiting on a weekend, it gets very busy! We showed up about 7 minutes after it opened and the parking lot was almost full and a long line of people waiting to get in first to get a better spot by the water. I highly recommend going early to have the best experience.

  8. You can bring your own canopy tent, but they are only allowed in certain areas. Beach umbrellas are okay anywhere (here is my absolute favorite one from Anchor Works.

  9. FREE Community events are offered frequently, like "Movies in the Meadow", "Paws n Paddles", and "Burgers n Brews". Check the website for the most up to date information.
